A vegan having a snake as a pet?

I am vegan and I love snakes. I REALLY want to have one as a pet(a corn snake) But would it be considered animal cruelty if I feed mice to it? And I don’t mean live mice, the pre killed frozen ones? I hate that the mouse doesn’t have a choice or a chance to escape and is killed unnaturally, so it’s murder, but at the same time, mice are snakes natural food and there is no healthy alternative for it…so what do you think about my situation? What should I do?
